Some of you might be wondering why I haven’t been tweeting lately. No, I haven’t forgotten to charge my phone. Twitter suspended my account, and I’m not sure why. I was following back people who follow me, and I got a message saying my account had been suspended. I appealed the suspension, but I’m not sure how long it takes to hear back from them. I read online that it takes five to seven days to get a response. I don’t know why following back people who follow you is such a big deal to them. I thought social media was all about connecting with people who connect with you.
I don’t think I’ll get another Twitter account if this one is permanently banned. I’ll post here and not worry about getting banned again. I’m not angry about being banned, but I do feel somewhat disappointed. I enjoyed using Twitter and made quite a few friends there. All of that is gone now unless they unsuspend my account. I don’t know if that is something they do or not. This is what happens when you play in someone else’s playground. They make the rules and can tell you to stop playing with their toys. I wanted to start a YouTube channel, but I haven’t put any time into it for this reason. I don’t want to work hard and build up something to have someone else take it all away.
If I do get my account back, I’m not going to follow anyone ever again. I’ll probably unfollow everyone over a few years. I highly advise you not to follow back people who follow you if you get a lot of new followers daily. I’d say follow your family, friends, and that guy from TV. It’s not worth following back everyone who follows you if you value your account. What you think is a good deed is seen as anything but in the eyes of an automated robot trying to sniff out spammers.
